My Portfolio

A series of acrylic paintings celebrating family and friends. My style has shifted and developed over the years, gradually transitioning from vibrant Fauvist colors to more natural tones with an expressive bent. I think having children was the biggest blessing to my growth as an artist-- suddenly the challenge of capturing a likeness was so wrapped up in something I loved so dearly. It became the drive I needed to learn more and more about developing my craft to keep up with my goals.

An early period of mine was spent creating watercolors on large canvases. Making a medium that excels in small spaces work on a 20"x30" surface was a challenge but once these pieces all found homes, I was thankful I stuck with it.

Still life watercolors with ink outlines and pastel flourishes. These vibrant pieces feel fresh, artsy and alive-- the perfect piece to highlight a favorite product or decorate a space that needs a pop of color. Do you have a vision for a special item, pet, or place? Let's talk about it!

The commissions I'm most proud of are the ones that commemorate special moments and special lives. With photographs as a reference, I work with graphite and high quality acid-free paper to make heirloom-quality portraits. I want the feeling of each portrait to convey timelessness, intimacy and love. Seeing these pieces after the client has them framed and hung them up in their home fills me with so much satisfaction.

Make a moment from a photo of a favorite location. These digital creations showcase locations in a minimalist pen and ink style. The option to overlay these with a watercolor wash in a physical project is also available-- the perfect way to celebrate a favorite home or location. I love the timeless feeling each of these pieces express-- like a moment from a story book or a history lesson.
